Just finished 'Cherry Baby' by Rainbow Rowell and I was giggling through so much of it.
Cherry has been immortalized in her husband’s wildly popular webcomic—now being turned into a movie—while the two navigate a bizarre separation after his affair. She’s in Omaha, he’s in L.A., getting richer and more famous by the minute.
What made Cherry so endearing to me was how deeply she lives inside her own head, constantly seeing herself as the “fatâ€ character her husband created, even while everyone around her sees her as beautiful. It felt honest, vulnerable, and relatable.
I love a second-chance romance that pulls two people apart and somehow finds a believable way to bring them back together—especially after betrayal, when that rarely happens in real life.
Highly recommend checking out this one! Happy reading, friends! ~Heather
