Get into the holiday spirit! Compete for citywide bragging rights as the Vinton Parks and Recreation Department is conducting its 5th Annual "Deck the House" contest. Register your home or business now! Eligible houses and businesses must be within City limits.
An address form and map with all registered addresses will be posted at www.vprdzone.com, Vinton Parks and Recreation Department Facebook page, and at the Vinton Rec Center on Friday, December 8.
New this year: A Deck the House Committee will be picking the winners!
Residential Categories: Griswold and Elegant
(COMMITTEE WILL DETERMINE YOUR CATEGORY BASED ON YOUR DISPLAY!)
Entry deadline for house and business displays is December 4.
Cost is free!
Contest Period: December 8 - December 17.
The winners will be announced on December 20 on our Facebook page.
Residential Awards for each category:
1st: $100 VU Bucks & yard sign
2nd place: $75 VU Bucks
3rd place: $50 VU Bucks
Business Award Category:
$150 VU Bucks and a Deck the House Plaque
