Events and Activities Playing for a Cure: Bingo set for this Sunday, Oct. 25

A new fund-raising effort to help raise money for the fight against breast cancer has been set for Oct. 25.

Playing for a Cure, a Bingo and bake sale event, will take place at Vinton-Shellsburg High School on Sunday, Oct. 25.

Doors open at 1:30 p.m. ; Bingo games will begin at 2 p.m.

Tickets for Bingo are $10 before Oct. 18, $15 at the door, or $5 for children 12 and under.

Bake sale items will be offered for a free will donation.

Tickets are available at Ehlinger’s Vinton Express. Funds raised will go toward the Virginia Gay Hospital Foundation’s Gifts of Hope Fund.

Also at Ehlinger's clerks are selling pink Koozies and ribbons.
