Playing For a Cure returns again this October; the Bingo/Bake Sale fund-raiser for the Virginia Gay Hospital Foundation Gifts of Hope Fund takes place Sunday, Oct. 23. Bingo ($10 for adults; $5 for children) will take place from 2-4 p.m. The bake sale begins at 1:30, in the VSHS cafeteria.
This is one of many local events during October, which isBreast Cancer Awareness Month.
Gifts of Hope provides free mammograms and diagnostic services for women who need financial assistance. Gifts of Hope pays for appointments, testing, and up to $2,500 for treatment.
