Outdoorsman and Cedar Rapids Gazette columnist Orlan Love will give a free talk about the Wapsipinicon River on Sunday, June 23, at 2 p.m. entitled "On the Wapsie" at the Center Point Historical Society Depot Museum, 700 E. Washington.

“I was born and raised in Quasky,â€� Orlan said, “and I’ve been running around on that river for 55 years.â€�

The Historical Society’s 2024 theme is Natural History. The museum has displays of butterflies, insects, rocks, fossils, arrowheads and Indigenous people and conservation history. Hours are 2-5 Sundays through October.
