Downtown Vinton was filled with costumed fun on Saturday as little ghosts, goblins, and all sorts of creative characters took to the streets for a day of trick-or-treating. The morning kicked off with games and activities on the courthouse lawn, hosted by Vinton Parks and Recreation, before families made their rounds to local businesses collecting sweet treats.

Smiles and candy were plentiful, making it a perfect fall day in Vinton. Be sure to check out the Vinton Today Facebook page for photos!

The fun was interrupted by a fire call to the Vinton Parks Apartments causing the firemen and fire truck to leave their location in front of the Palace Theatre. However, the department had some very capable backup to take care of the treats for them!

Don't forget to dress up again on Thursday night and visit some of our elderly! Bring all the smiles along and help make the night of some of our elderly!

Join us at Windsor Manor between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm for a spooktacular trick-or-treating adventure! Dress up in your favorite costume and collect delicious treats from our friendly residents. It’s sure to be a frightfully fun time for all ages!

Trunk or Treat Party at BHCC!

Get ready for a fun and safe evening at our annual Trunk or Treat event! Decorated cars will be lined up in our church parking lot at 1509 S M Ave., ready for your family to enjoy some trick-or-treating before the town-wide festivities kick off.

We’ve got dinner covered! We'll be serving free hot dogs, chips, and bottled water for everyone.

Parking Instructions: Please park in our church lot and walk your family down our driveway on the north side (Pioneer side) to join the fun. Local emergency vehicles will be at the start of our line of trunks, so your kids can meet our hometown heroes first! There will be signs marking the way to ensure you know where to go.

Bonus Fun: We’ll also have a bounce house for the kids to enjoy! While you're here, enter our giveaway to win a family night out!

Kooky Spooky Party - 7-9:00 p.m.

Anyone who wears a Halloween costume (more than just a mask) will get a $1.00 off skate admission and entered in our Halloween costume contest!
