Join Vision Dysart for Summer Music on Main - Thursdays June 18th, July 16th, and August 13th. Area businesses are sponsoring the events each month and have been generous again with their donations! This month features Union High School band director and his personal jazz quartet. Music will be held in the Pocket Park on Main from 7:00 to 8:00. Iced tea, lemonade, and popcorn will be provided for a free-will donation, which will go towards Vision Dysart's new project, "Art in the Pocket Park" featuring Robin Werner art!
The Levi Temple Quartet is a group of musicians from around the state who specialize in the performance of standard and modern jazz repertoire. Levi, a trombonist, composer, and educator from Waterloo, Iowa with a fresh Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the University of Northern Iowa, is known for his dynamic compositions and charismatic playing. Recent accomplishments include the release of his second album How We Got Here and a selection to the Telluride Jazz Festival Student All-Stars. Equally respected as a composer, he has had dozens of compositions and arrangements premiered. In addition to his career as a performer/composer, Levi happily serves as the band director at Union High School. Levi will be joined by talented musicians David Donald (piano), Vincent Valadez (bass), and Aiden Endres (drums).
