Government Benton County Audit Passes with flying colors

Benton County had its City/School post-election audit last week. The Bruce/Cedar/Mt. Auburn precinct was randomly chosen by the Secretary of State's Office. An audit is routinely performed following each election.  The audit is pursuant to Code of Iowa Sec. 50.51,

The audit took place in the Auditor's Office at the Benton County Courthouse and was open to the public.  Benton County Auditor, Hayley Rippel said, "Rest assured, our hand count matched the machine count!!"
