Arrested at 05:05 AM by Cedar Rapids Police and brought to Benton County on a Benton County warrant for Driving While Barred.

Nowotny, Tara Kay, age 36, of Shellsburg.

Arrested at 8:42 AM in the 6600 block 32nd Avenue, charged with Attempting to Elude.

Wright, Joseph Benjamin Lee, age 24, of Vinton.

Arrested at 7:22 PM at the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, on a Benton County warrant for Fail to Appear, Violation of a No Contact Order. He was also charged with public intoxication.

Smallwood, Joseph Scott, age 45, of Dallas, GA.

Arrested at 10:25 AM at the Benton County Courthouse, charged with Public Intoxication.

Barta, Kevin Arnold, age 65, of Atkins.

Arrested at 8:28 PM on 2nd Avenue in Atkins, charged with Driving Under Suspension.

Deputies handled 4 accidents, issued 11 citations and 22 written warnings, and responded to 217 calls for service.
