DETERMINE YOUR OWN TIME COMMITMENT.

NON-MEDICAL VOLUNTEERS MAY PROVIDE SOME OF THE FOLLOWING SERVICES:

¢â‚¬ ¢ Friendly visits

¢â‚¬ ¢ Writing letters

¢â‚¬ ¢ Reading to patients

¢â‚¬ ¢ Listening presence

¢â‚¬ ¢ Affirmation of personhood

¢â‚¬ ¢ Companionship

¢â‚¬ ¢ Sitting vigil

¢â‚¬ ¢ Patient caregiver relief

¢â‚¬ ¢ Emotional and spiritual support

¢â‚¬ ¢ Assist with grief support groups

¢â‚¬ ¢ Helping with health fairs and community education
