Well, tomorrow is the day! I sure hope everyone is hungry for some sweet corn!

Just a reminder if you and/or your family are willing to lend a hand, we would be grateful! We will gather in the back parking lot of the high school to husk 4,000+ ears of sweet corn. Cooking and packaging the corn will take place in the high school kitchen. Volunteers are needed from approximately 7am to 11am.

The corn will be given away near Michael & Dowd starting around 11am until the start of the parade at 2pm. Any corn remaining after the parade will be given away in Celebration Park that evening. Volunteers are needed to assist with this as well.

Finally, we are also looking for coolers to store and transport the cooked corn. Coolers can be dropped off in the back parking lot of the high school today and can be picked up in the Governor Sherman building on Monday, August 19th. You can also bring them tomorrow morning if you plan to help husk/cook. No styrofoam coolers, please. Make sure your cooler is labeled clearly with your name and phone number.
