Semi leaves the road on Thursday morning while hauling a load of hogs north of Vinton
Thursday morning found a load of hogs on their way to market, we assume.
The semi driver took a detour into the ditch on 22nd Ave. Trail, aka the Mt. Auburn road just south of Kersten's light display.
The driver, James Rose of Arlington left the roadway heading south when he went into the ditch on the west side of the road.
Carrying 170 hogs, some were injured in the accident. Responding to the accident were North Benton Ambulance and Vinton Fire Department as well as the Benton County Sheriff's Office.
