The Virginia Gay Hospital Foundation is seeking health and safety-related businesses and organizations to share their expertise on healthy lifestyle topics with our community. The Seventh Annual Benton County Community Health and Wellness Fair will be held from 8 am to Noon on Saturday, October 9 at the Vinton-Shellsburg High School.

This event focuses on empowering our community to be advocates of their health and well-being. Many have faced challenges over the last 18 months with COVID-19 in the headlines. Promoting and encouraging connections with positive impacts on life is essential. The goal of this event is to raise awareness of resources available in Benton County for mind, body and spirit, which creates an excellent opportunity for area professionals to showcase their expertise.

Plans are still underway, but past health fairs have included health screenings, outdoor activities (weather permitting), freebies, gift bags, raffle drawings and a wide variety of presentations and demonstrations.

Venue space is limited, so businesses or organizations interested in participating should register soon (but no later than September 24, 2021) either online at www.bentoncohealthfair.com/contact or reach out to Foundation Director, Robin Martin, by email at rmartin@vghinc.com or by phone at (319) 472-6375.
