On Saturday, January 8th, 8 members of the Vinton-Shellsburg FFA Chapter traveled to Ankeny for the IAT conference. In this conference there are three different conferences including the Ignite Conference for Freshmen, Amplify for Sophomores and Juniors, and Transform for Seniors.

In each of these conferences, members learn different skills that they can bring back to their chapter. The eight members that went this year were all part of the Amplify conference where they learned a lot about their purpose. There were six one-hour sessions that included Purpose Plan, At My Best, Care for others = Grows Purpose, Sharpen My Axe = Sharpen My Purpose, Purpose over Pointless, and My Purpose Team (Living on Purpose, Happens on Purpose).

Through these sessions, members were able to move around and meet new people along with playing interactive games to help get the pumped for the sessions. The conference was a great experience for all of the participants and they would all recommend it to anybody who wanted to try something.
