News : Winter Carnival a hit with area children

The is being fed some "broccoli" Children chose what foods to toss to the pig for a stamp on their activity card.

Last Thursday, area children celebrated a few days off from school. Parents and grandparents brought children to the Vinton Skate Center to get some of those wiggles out during their Christmas break.

At only a quarter per game, the kids were able to race hot wheels, play hockey, shoot nerf guns at targets, "feed the pig" and enjoy the company of their friends.

Vinton Parks and Recreation provided prizes and fun with the help of area high school students for the annual Winter Carnival.
