Salvation Army - Serving Benton County

Our local Salvation Army team at times work along side Benton County Social Services, HACAP, Rural Access, Foundation 2, Police, and Sheriffs Dept, and Dispatch to resolve an unfortunate situations, or at least make them better.

Here are some of the activities this last year.

• 2 teams from Benton County continue to assist Cedar Rapids Corp with Saturday morning Mobile Feeding Program to area homeless shelters

• Some of the situations we encountered during the year are:

• Salvation Army helped a young father relocate himself to our area as the caretake of his children could no longer care for them. He had to urgently start a new job and get an apartment;

• a mother, who has a job while attending college and working shifts for practicumn, needed help with a utility bill;

• a resident needed help with relocating after a housefire, etc.

• Last fiscal year, the local Salvation Army assisted almost 100 area families.

We can't do this work without you ! Thank you for all your past support !!
