News : Benton Community FFA goes to Des Moines

Benton Community FFA members attended the 41st FFA Legislative Symposium at the Iowa State Capitol. Members visited the Secretary of State’s Office, learned about Iowa’s Constitution, and took in the beauty of our state capitol building while learning how bills are introduced and move through the legislative process.

We also had the opportunity to share our passion for agricultural education and FFA with Representative Tom Gerhold, and had great conversations about current issues impacting agriculture across our state.

It was an incredible learning experience and a great day of advocacy, leadership, and learning!
