Obituaries : Patricia E. (Coberly) Hinds

Patricia E. (Coberly) Hinds, 76, passed away at the UnityPoint Health-St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on Friday, Sept. 23, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

A visitation will be held from 4 to

6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, at the Cedar Memorial Chapel Stateroom. A private family service will be offered on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2022.

Patricia Hinds was born on Feb. 10, 1946, in Vinton, Iowa. She was the daughter of the late Stanley and Evelyn (Potthoff) Coberly. On Feb. 27, 1972, Patricia married the love of her life, George K. Hinds, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She loved gardening, sewing, baking, reading and living in the country.

Those left to cherish Patricia's memory is her husband, George, of Van Horne; her children, Tami Seiler of Charleston, S.C., Robert Hinds of Stanwood, Iowa, George Hinds of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Steven (Dawn) Hinds of Shellsburg, Iowa; her grandchildren, Heith, Angie, Hunter Hinds, Alex and Cooper Hayden; and her brothers, Bill (Jodi) Coberly of Vermont and Robert (Tik) Coberly of Vinton, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Candace Hayden.

The family would like to thank the Van Horne First Responders, the Blairstown EMS, and Air Care 1 for all the support they showed Patricia and her family.
