DeWayne Cronbaugh, 83, of Blairstown, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 30, 2023.

Visitation will be held Friday, March, 31 2023 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Phillips Funeral Home in Blairstown. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April, 1st at Blairstown Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Diane Vorhies officiating. Interment will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Blairstown. Luncheon will follow the burial and will be held at the church. In lieu of flowers multiple memorial funds have been established and will be distributed.

DeWayne was born in Belle Plaine on January 1, 1940, the son of Raymond and Laura (Radeke) Cronbaugh. On October 1, 1961, he was united in marriage to Vivian Lohrer at First Presbyterian Church in Marengo. DeWayne worked as farmer and was employed as a mail carrier.

DeWayne attended First Presbyterian Church in Blairstown. He enjoyed traveling the world, visiting all 50 US States. He also visited nearly every Canadian Province. DeWayne also enjoyed hunting, reading his old western books, riding his bicycle, going on walks, eating out at various restaurants, attending theatre events, sporting events, meeting new people while traveling, and camping. Above all he cherished the time he spent with family. He was a member of the FFA and the Iowa County 4H Club.

DeWayne is survived by his wife, Vivian; his children, Wendy (Jeff) Sontag of Ankeny, Jeff (Cory) Cronbaugh of Blairstown, Jill (Tom) Swanson of Mapleton, grandchildren; Sarah (Tedi) Sontag-Llaguri of Des Moines, Suzanne Sontag of Vienna, Austria, Bryce Cronbaugh, his fiancé Kayla Thordeson of Blairstown, and Michael Swanson (Jennalie Mounivong) of Urbandale, Maria Swanson of Vermillion, South Dakota and DeWayne's sister, RaeJean (Don) Fee of Cedar Rapids.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Marlys Eirp.
