Rev. Lee Ellis Wiley, 82, passed away peacefully at Jackson Ridge Healthcare in Maquoketa on Saturday, May 6, 2023.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Oak Grove Church, rural Shellsburg. Memorial services will be held at the church at 11:00 AM, Saturday, with Pastor Matt Magee officiating. Interment will be held at the Walker Cemetery.

Lee was born on March 4, 1941, in Walker, the son of Marvin and Margurite (Ague) Wiley. He graduated from Walker High School, with the class of 1959, and attended Moody Bible Institute from 1959 through 1960. He married Janet Upton on April 22, 1960 and the couple later divorced. He married Donna Ruhs, on February 14, 1998, and they also divorced. Lee furthered his education at Culver Stockton College in Canton, MO, earning a B.A. in Theology in 1989.

Mr. Wiley held many jobs, from bridge tower painter, to working on a small cattle ranch, to law enforcement. He finally settled into a life in the ministry, where he impacted many lives and he eventually retired from. Lee was an avid outdoorsman. He was truly in his element when in the outdoors, hunting, and fishing.

Lee is survived by his children, Dana (Jeff) Kramer of Urbana, Todd (Ronda) Wiley of Urbana, Shawna (Greg) Rogers of Troy, MO, Jodi (Jon) Myers of Camp Point, IL, Corey (Andrea) Wiley of Urbana; grandchildren, Timothy and Aaron Kramer, Taylor and Jacob Wiley, Lauren (Noah) Dierks, Derrick Rogers, Devin (Adam) Loeffler, Justin (Kelli) Myers, Jason Myers, Tristen and Bryn Wiley; great-grandchildren, Lydia and Henry Loeffler, Kambrie Jo Myers; 2 sisters, Gail (Charles) Takes, and Jeanne (Marvin) Grimm; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two infant siblings; his daughter Erin Colleen; and a great-granddaughter, Lenox Jean Myers.
