Brian Keith Anderson, age 59, gained his wings and went to heaven on Monday, May 15th 2023 at his home in Garrison.

This was a huge shock to family and friends! Brian was born on January 31, 1964. He was then adopted by Harley and Mary Anderson of Anamosa. He grew up working on the family farm in Anamosa. After the passing of his mother and later his father, Brian left home at age 16 to go out on his own. He joined the Army National Guard, and following his discharge started schooling to become a master mechanic and diagnostic technician. If it had a motor, he could fix it guaranteed! He met the love of his life in 2004, Sharon Valentine. They were together for 16 years. Brian then gained the blessing of becoming a dad to Amanda and Amber Valentine. Brian and Sharon wanted to have a child of their own so badly. On May 17, 2006, their blessing was fulfilled when they adopted Megan Marie Anderson. After Sharon's passing, Brian chose to stay in everyone's lives. We were his kids, no matter what!

Amanda gave Brian two beautiful grandchildren, Gunner and Honey Valentine. His greatest love was family. Gunner and Papa were inseparable. A bond nothing could ever break! Amanda's fiancé, Kirk, also became a dear friend.

Brian worked at Tuffy's for 20 years and was very loved there! He was one of the top 10 techs in the company. In 2022 he started working at Rooster Auto Repair in Vinton. He brought so much knowledge and laughter to the shop. All the guys quickly became friends, well more like family! He then picked up the nickname "Walter", it is from the Jeff Dunham show. If you met Brian, it is so fitting!

Brian loved dirt track racing! 3B racing! He met lots of friends on the track…maybe some enemies too…it's racing! He raced for many years until it just wasn't fun anymore. Brian's dream was to own a 68 Camaro. He had just fulfilled his dream and was restoring his new baby to its natural beauty.

Brian left behind a fur-baby named Jake. Jake was his everything. Whatever Brian ate, Jake ate.

Brian was a friend to many. He was a likeable guy, always with a smart-ass remark and a joke! He loved to mess around to make someone laugh! He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

A Celebration of Brian's Life will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023, from 6:00 until 9:00 PM at Rooster Auto Repair shop, 913 West 4th Street in Vinton, IA. Condolences may be sent to 403 S. Spruce Avenue, PO Box 33, Garrison, IA 52229.
