Ranae Suzzanne (Secor) Griego, age 73, formerly of Leander, Texas, died on October 17, 2024 at Hendrick North Hospital, Abilene, Texas.

First born child of Wayne B (Ackerson) Secor and wife, Shirley Mae (Walsh) Secor. She was born July 24, 1951, at Allen Memorial Hospital, Waterloo, Iowa. She is survived by her devoted children, Christine (David) Gross of Brookesmith, Texas; Stephanie Winstead of Leander, Texas; David Dart of Hiawatha, Iowa; and Rachel Markland of Vinton, Iowa. Also surviving are her siblings, John G. (Lynn) Secor of Cedar Falls, Iowa; Connie Westcott of Vinton, Iowa; Cheri (Mike) Ambrose of Leander, Texas and Carol Secor of Des Moines, Iowa.

A grandmother of eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her every heartbeat and they will miss her greatly.

Many friends became family to her. Her circle in life spread from Northeast, Iowa to the Ozarks of Missouri to deep into Texas. She was an excellent cook, cooking for all she loved, whether family or stranger. She was a business owner, a ceramist, an artist not only in the paints but in hair styling. She loved to crochet and knit. She made many pieces of jewelry. She loved board games and playing cards. She was a "mother hen" to so many it's impossible to count.

She is preceded by her parents, Wayne B. and Shirley Secor, her maternal grandparents, George O. and Alice Walsh and her paternal grandparents, Bernard C. and Dorothy Ackerson.
