Phyllis Clair Arnold, 64, passed away on Sunday, October 26th, 2025 with family and friends by her side.

Phyllis was born on May 30th, 1961 in Des Moines, Iowa. She was adopted at the age of 2 by Charles William and Beverly Maxine (Rollinson) Sauer. She was welcomed home by her new sister Cynthia Sue.

Phyllis grew up just outside of Vinton, Iowa on the family farm. As a young girl she enjoyed playing with her dolls and tea time. As she grew older she found a love for horseback riding with her best friend and being outdoors. She graduated in 1979 from Washington High School in Vinton. She lived a good portion of her adult life in California and Arizona. She moved back to Iowa in 2010. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, road trips, crocheting, diamond art, watching true crime shows, and I Love Lucy.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, grandparents, her uncle Art and aunt Pat Rollinson.

Phyllis is survived by her son Benjamin (Stephanie) Anderson of Arizona, and daughter Amber (Daniel) Laxton of Missouri; 5 grandchildren, Cash and Ryder Anderson, Devon, Jesse, and Cambrie Laxton; her sister Cynthia Sue (Sauer) Coughenour; 2 nephews, 1 niece, and many great nieces and nephews.

In respect of Phyllis’ wishes there will be no funeral service. A private service will be held for close family and friends at a later date.
