Dear Editor,

OPEC announced they are drastically cutting back oil production, which will send gas prices higher.

Who wants to bet there will be letters to the editor claiming that rising gas prices are Biden's fault?

GS October 9, 2022, 3:08 pm This is a very entertaining string of commentary and hopefully all in good nature. But the comment about Keystone XL is too erroneous to let pass. Blaming any economic issues on the loss of a pipeline that never existed is like blaming a highway that was never built for your long commute. Illogical. Also, Biden didn’t stop fracking just ask the folks in fracking zones if the tremors shaking their windows have stopped. Nope. In fact, progressives are attacking POTUS for not keeping his promise to do so.

GB October 7, 2022, 7:21 pm Anthony, with all due respect sir, please fact check yourself. We were the largest exporter of petroleum in the world just a couple years ago before Bidens war on oil. Imagine how we could have helped Europe (still could) for what is coming their way this winter.. Yet you fools still believe a unicorn will suddenly appear over a rainbow of love to save the world if for no other reason other than you "want" that to happen. That is not reality my friend.. life or reality does not work like that.

DL October 7, 2022, 7:04 pm Betty Thorsvig, I'm not sure what is is that you have to be, to not know that that Executive Order cancelled THE PERMIT for the Keystone XL Pipeline. You have to be something else, to not know that the Keystone Pipeline has been pumping oil since 2010, and continues to pump oil to this day. The Canadian company that was going to be building the Keystone XL pipeline, found that they had left the sections of pipe setting on the ground, in storage, for too long, and it was all unusable when they were ready to start building the line. During the Trump "presidency", they tried to sell the rights to the project, but they had no buyers, they gave up on the project. Since the project wasn't viable any longer, Biden cancelled the permit.

Now, as far as that research you were talking about. I think you should quit drinking the proverbial kool aid. There is no way that you did any research on the Keystone XL Pipeline. Since it's been almost 4 years now, that the project was halted by the owners of the permit, it seems like you've had plenty of time to "do your research".

You have to be blind, deaf and mute if you did not know among the first EXECUTIVE ORDERS Biden signed was to shut down the Keystone Pipeline and to stop all fracking. The workers did not walk off till Biden signed it. Do a fact check. And you have to be totally ignorant if you do not know we “were” energy independent prior to the puppet. RB October 7, 2022, 1:48 pm We have always imported oil. We have never been totally energy independent. More reason to put emphasis on renewables. Actually, no president has much impact on oil prices. Although Biden should be credit for the prices falling thanks to releasing reserves. The prices of oil got to over $100/barrel when Bush II was president and not much of that was his fault. Prices did come down under Trump because, thanks to his ignoring Covid, the economy was shut down and few were driving. Some people need to try facts in their argument instead of FOX News propaganda.

The guys that are blaming the president can't see that their mobster cult leader has worked with the OPEC nations to do everything they can to help him destroy our country. They want to give up our freedoms to get lower gas prices. They even think that this president shut down a pipeline, when the pipeline had been shut down by the potential operators, while their mobster was still in our White House, stealing our property.

This is what happens when stupid people who are career politicians find themselves in charge. No plan for anything! The man needs to be under a doctor's care and not in the Whitehouse.

I'm sure it's not the truth due to not coming from CNN, CSNBC, or a liberal source. You don't have to look far to find joe claiming to put the squeeze on fossil fuels unless you ignore what the guy says.
