Dear Editor,
July 2, just 12 days ago, I cautioned that the Democrats only alternative to beating Trump was to assassinate him and that their threats and allusions to such an act should be taken seriously. Imagine my "complete shock" when a friend called yesterday and said Trump had just been shot. Sadly, I'm not surprised, not in the least.
We've spent 8 years hearing what an evil and vile man Trump is, how he's the manifestation of Hitler himself and he simply cannot be allowed to take the office of President again. Just days ago, Biden said that he needed to be "Put in the bullseye" . Pelosi has stated over and over that Trump must not be allowed to become president again. Many Democrats proposed that since the SCOTUS found that Presidents are immune from prosecution while executing legal acts during their Presidency that this was the perfect time for Biden to assassinate Trump along with members of the Supreme Court.
And here we are.
We have a Democrat Party that rails against the evils of Fascism. They warn about the authoritarian rule of Trump. They say that to save Democracy . . . their party, and theirs alone, is the only solution. They obviously believe that to their core - because they are perfectly willing to kill their opposition. All in the name of protecting "Democracy". I doubt Hitler himself could have explained their position any better.
Perhaps a reminder of what Fascism actually means . . .
Fascism: "A system of government marked by centralization of authority under a dictator, a capitalist economy subject to stringent governmental controls, violent suppression of the opposition, and typically a policy of belligerent nationalism and racism." (From the American Heritage Dictionary)
Sounds like a Democrat dream. Given that, which party, which presidential candidate has Fascist leanings? Well, which one is trying to eliminate their opponent by any means necessary??? The answer is as clear as it is stunning.
We dodged a bullet last night . . . literally. Watching him turn his head just slightly, now knowing that small movement changed the endpoint of the bullet's flight just enough to nick Trump's ear rather than entering his eye socket, may well have given us one more opportunity to paste our shattered and fractured country back together.
Sadly, I do not believe it will end there. Shortly after the news of the assassination attempt the phrase "We missed" was trending on "X" - formerly twitter. And while the Democrat leadership put on their "shocked" costumes and faces I've seen no one recanting their positions and rejecting their positions that Trump can not become President again, regardless the cost. The Democrat party will see this as a failure of action, not an American tragedy. Even the MSM spent the opening announcements describing how Trump had slipped and fell at his campaign event, taking nearly half an hour to announce the assassination attempt. Even then they took pains to say that "both sides" needed to cool the rhetoric. Really? I don't remember Republicans, especially Trump, calling for a "target" on Biden's back. No where have I read about Republicans saying that Trump should use his "immunity" to assassinate opponents when he takes office next year.
This attempt to eliminate Trump with a bullet rather than a ballot lays solely at the feet of the Democrat Party. It emphasizes their total "commitment" to winning this fall regardless of the tool required to do so. Sadly, I believe the Democrat leadership views last night as a failure, not a tragedy. Not seeing what could easily be our generation's version of Ft. Sumter. I fully expect to witness all stops being removed in the Democrat quest to stop Trump from being elected this coming fall. Last night was but a single, failed try to insure the Democrat's victory in November. There will be more.
I'd like to say our country will survive their attempts . . . but I can't.

My friend called me yesterday to tell me former President Trump had been shot. ABC News told it ALL in Breaking News. FOX said there had been an "incident." Really??
It took me back to my sophomore year in high school in gym class when the principal came over the PA and told us that President Kennedy had been shot.
And I will never forget Walter Cronkite taking off his glasses and with tears on his cheeks, telling all of America that our President was dead.
I did not realize until later how affected I was by Trump getting shot. I always saw him as strong with a booming voice. And when I saw him fall, the part of me who believed and supported Ron DeSantis, felt sorry for this man who genuinely loves his America.
But later I saw the BIG DIFFERENCE between Biden and Trump. Former President Trump, who had just been shot, ascended the stairs of the plane erect with no help from anyone.
Strength and a true belief in a better America is what we need NOW!!! That is Donald Trump!!!

He should be in jail and not the White House. You and I would already be fitted for a jump suit if we did 1/10th what Trump has done!
"A system of government, marked by centralization of authority"~ That means small government, with only a few that have authority.
"Dictator"~ that means, single authority that makes and enforces all laws. No Constitution.
"A Capitalist economy" The opposite of Capitalism, is Socialism. Democracy can't exist under a fascist or Socialist economy. What's your point?
"Violent suppression of the opposition" What exactly is it that you think Democrats have made it impossible for you to do, to suppress your freedoms and liberties.
"A policy of belligerent Nationalism and racism"~ Nationalism is the policy of those that don't want to be a part of the world community. Those that don't want to help other countries, when it's of our best interest to do so. Those that don't want to be a part of the greatest organization in the history of this planet, NATO.
The fact that you got so much wrong with this, makes every other issue, that you mentioned, worthless. You need help getting deprogramed from the brainwashing you've been victim to.
Congratulations! Not sure you realize it but in your effort to educate the rest of us on the meaning of Facisem, you fully described the Democratic Party! The definition you gave is a Democrats dream!

You believe that the Democratic Party is the party that wants a small government, and eliminate the Legislative and Judicial Branches?
You believe that it's the Rebublican Party that has a sector that pushes for a Socialism style of government?
You believe it's the Democratic Party that believes our country should only support ourselves, that organizations like NATO should be left on their own?
I'm afraid that you need extra help, as your brainwashing has gotten you so confused that you don't know anything about reality.
You have no idea what I believe because I am not sure you understand what you believe.. You do more twisting of the facts to fit into the vision you have of the world than I care to keep up with. Like Trump said of Biden in the debate, I have no idea what you just said and I do not think you do either..
Ronald Reagan once said, "if Communism even comes to America, it will do so in the form of Fascism." Only the Democrats believe with their twisted agendas that if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it must be a bull that believes it is a cow.
Well I can't give you comprehension lessons. If you can't use the tools available to you, to learn what words mean, I don't know what to tell you.
If that quote came from Reagan, he was basically correct. I've told you this, at least, once before. There are a lot of similarities in Communism and Fascism. One is a FAR left ideology, and the other is a FAR right ideology. They are both extremist views. One of the major difference is; a fascist leader has control over the complete economy. The leader has Oligarchs that they give control of business to. With Communism, business are left to the private sector. But, the government controls what the businesses can sell, and what the citizens can purchase. So, just blurring out a quote, it's a good idea to know what that quote means, and why. Now, I broke down the definitions of fascism, that the original poster included. Every part of that definition were things that your party has fought for for decades.
Oh, and Democrats were the supporters of the Civil Rights Act, not Republicans. You can look up the exact votes that were placed in Congress. LBJ pushed for it's passage.
