The Vinton-Shellsburg wrestling team advanced to the Regional Dual event for the first time, but faced a tough Independence opponent. Just three Vikings (Steve Henry, 285; Max Wehage, 216 and Nick Hyland, 138) recorded victories in a 62-9 loss.  The Vikes had advanced to the Regionals with a 2nd place finish in the sectional meet.
