The Vinton-Shellsburg girls basketball team will honor area veterans at a local event on Tuesday, Nov. 17.

The "Nets for Vets" will include a game between the Vikettes and Belle Plaine. Before the game, there will be a free-will donation barbecue in the VSHS lunchroom/commons from 4-6 p.m. 

The JV game starts at 5; the varsity game at 7.

The school is also offering t-shirts. All proceeds will go toward the Benton County Veterans Assistance Fund. The t-shirt ordering deadline is Nov. 4.
