A $10,000 purse is up-for-grabs this Saturday, August 7 in the Wreck 'Em at the Ring demolition derby at the Benton County Fairgrounds.


Saturday's event, held in memory of Jerry "Mike Hahn" Stanley and Jamie Schuelka, features six divisions of competition, including Gut & Go, Powder Puff - Gut & Go, Limited Weld Midsize, Limited Weld Full Size, Mini Van/Mini Truck/Mini SUV, and Kids Power Wheels.
Tech opens at 1 p.m., grandstand at 4:30 and the demo starts at 6 with the Kids Power Wheels.
Grandstand admission is $13 for adults, $11 for seniors and veterans and $5 for children ages 6-14. Kids under 5 are admitted free when accompanied by a paid adult.
Pit passes are $25 for adults and $15 for ages 16 and younger. The $50 entry fee for participants includes the pit pass.
The event was originally scheduled June 26 during the Benton County Fair, but was rained out.
