Sports : Vikette volleyball goes 2-2 at Warrior Invitational

TAMA - The Vinton-Shellsburg volleyball team (4-3) took to the Meskwaki Settlement School in Tama for Warrior Invitational on Aug. 28. The first match of the day was against the Meskwaki Warriors. The Vikettes defeated the Warriors, 2-0 (21-9, 21-8). Then they played the Belle Plaine Plainsmen and defeated them 2-0 (21-15, 21-15). The North Tama Redhawks defeated the Vikettes 2-0 (28-26, 23-21) and the Roland-Story Norsemen defeated the Vikettes 2-1 (17-21, 21-16, 15-13).

Junior middle blocker/setter Brylee led the Vikettes in many statistical categories throughout the day.
