Vikette volleyball defeats Trojans, 3-1 (25-10, 25-20 23-25, 25-23)

VINTON - The Vinton-Shellsburg Vikette varsity volleyball team (16-13, 3-2 WaMaC West) took on the South Tama County Trojans (14-17, 1-5 WaMaC West) inside Garrison Fieldhouse on Oct. 5 to honor their seniors, Kate Hyland, Brynn Patterson, Aly Smith, and Samantha Walton.

Junior setter led the Vikettes in assists with 30, senior Brynn Patterson led the Vikettes in kills with 12 (three per set), junior Alyssa Griffith led the Vikettes in blocks with four (one per set), senior libero Kate Hyland led the Vikettes in digs with 15 (3.8 per set), and senior Samantha Walton led the Vikettes with 0.8 aces serves.
