On to the finals! Vikette volleyball defeats Chickasaws 3-0 (25-16, 25-22, 25-23)

LA PORTE CITY - The Vinton-Shellsburg Vikette varsity volleyball team (19-17) took on the New Hampton Chickasaws at Union High School in La Porte City and swept the Chickasaws in straight sets, 3-0 (25-16, 25-22, 25-23).

They will take on the West Delaware Hawks (39-5) at Cedar Falls High School at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 26. This is the first Vikette Regional Final appearance since 2005, when they took on the Mount Pleasant Pleasant Panthers at Mid-Prairie High School in Wellman.
