Sports : Sanders brothers pin top ranks in their respective weight categories

As of Friday, February 11, IAwrestle released the following rankings for high school boys wrestling.

In the 106# class weight, Freshman Jace Hedeman of Union, in LaPorte City placed 1st.

113# in 10th place, Brayden Bohnsack,a Freshman at Union, LaPorte City.

At 126#, Jaiden Moore of Benton Community, a Senior placed 1st.

132# and 9th place, Caleb Olson a Sophomore at Union, LaPorte City

Weighing in at 145# Cooper Sanders brought in a 1st place win for Vinton-Shellsburg as a Junior. 7th place went to Freshman, Brenden Heying of Benton Community.

Gabe Sanders, a Vinton-Shellsburg Senior, brought home 1st place in the 152# category. Hunter Worthen a Senior at Union, LaPorte City brought 4th place.

Stone Schmitz a Senior of Union, Laporte City, weight class 160# brought home 5th place.

At 170# Brady Ortner, a Senior at Vinton-Shellsburg brought home 5th, while Senior Collin Hoskins Center Point-Urbana came in 6th.

In the Class 2A, Vinton-Shellsburg is ranked 4th with three ranked wrestlers and Union came in 7th with 5 wrestlers.
