Vikette basketball team finishes 15-9 (7-5 WaMaC West)

As Rich Haisman entered his third season as the Vinton-Shellsburg Vikette basketball head basketball varsity head coach, the Vikettes had compiled back-to-back winning seasons for the first time since 2003-04 and 2004-05. In 2019-20 the Vikettes finished 12-11 (7-5) and in 2020-21 they finished 18-5 (9-3) and in 2021-22 they finished 15-9 (7-5).

The last three seasons the Vikettes have compiled a 45-25 record and a 23-13 record in the WaMaC West), an average of 15 wins per season the last three season, and 11.5 wins per season in the WaMaC West.

The Vikettes scored 1280 points (53.3 points per game), 682 rebounds (28.4 rebounds), 290 assists (12.1 assists per games), 270 steals (11.25 steals per game), and 58 blocks (2.4 blocks per game). They shot 462/1167 (39.6%) from the field, 26.3% from three point range and 66.1%.from the free throw line.

Alyssa Griffith led the Vikettes with 301 points (12.5 points per game), Alyssa Griffith had 150 rebounds (6.3 rebounds per game), Sophia Kreutner had 65 assists (2.7 assists per game), Grayce McClintock led the Vikettes in three-point percentage with a clip of 36.4%. Brylee Bruce and Alyssa Griffith tied for the lead in free throw percentage with 71.7%, Kalie Burke led in field goal percentage with 48.2%.
