Vikette soccer shut out by Spartans 1-0

SOLON - The Vinton-Shellsburg Vikette varsity soccer (11-4) took on the Solon Spartans (13-3) at Solon's Spartan Stadium with the Spartans defeating the Vikettes 1-0 in the final regular-season match.

Vikette senior forward Grace Sutton ended the regular season with 26 goals and junior Abby Davis concluded the regular season with 16 goals and ten assists.

The Vikettes will host the winner of the match at Butch Peterson Field in West Branch between the Cedar Valley Christian Huskies and West Branch Bears (Monday, May 16) on Wednesday, May 18. The winner will take on the winner between the Grand View Christian Thunder and Pella Christian Eagles on Tuesday, May 24. The Regional Final is set for Thursday, May 26 at 6:00 p.m. with the highest-remaining seed hosting.
