The Iowa High School Athletic Association on Monday released its high school football assignments for the 2023 and 2024 seasons.

Teams in the eight-player division through Class 4A are assigned to districts and Class 5A teams are separated into groups. Assignments are on a two-year cycle.

Schedules for the 2023 and 2024 seasons will be released in April, according to the IHSAA. Week one games will be played the week of Friday, Aug. 25, 2023.
