The Prom Night event at Nature's Corner was a chance for the flower shop at the corner of A Avenue and Fourth Street to display its selection of prom boutonieres, and the many combinations of flowers, colors and accessories that can personalize each purchase.

Veterinarian Alice Timmerman and her staff welcomed visitors and received congratulations and well-wishes from  many in the community during the open house Saturday morning at the Vinton-Urbana Veterinary Hospital along Highway 150 north of Vinton.

The Kirkwood Community College Board of Trustees conferred a rare honor on March 25, saluting one of its late members. The board unanimously agreed to honor the late Mervin L.

  In past years, a youngster who lost a baby tooth might trade it to the Tooth Fairy for a dollar. An April 21 program at Kirkwood Community College will discuss real possibilities of those deciduous teeth giving medical science far more valuable opportunities.
