Serving Buffet from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday. A choice of salads are available Monday – Friday on site.

Everyone is WELCOME! Suggested contribution for individuals 60 years old or older, and their spouse (regardless of age) is $3.25 for the meal. Individuals who are not yet 60 are WELCOME but need to pay $4.25 for their meal. If you are just coming for the activity, the suggested contribution is $1.00. Carryout meals are available. We deliver meals to Vinton, Newhall, Urbana, and Garrison/Mt Auburn. The suggested contribution is $3.50/meal if you are 60 or older. For those under age 60, the suggested contribution is $4.25 for home delivered meals. We also have nutritious frozen meals and liquid supplements. Delivery is throughout Benton County. Please call by 10:00 AM daily to cancel a Home Delivered Meal. For more information about services, please call 319-472-4761, or to reserve a table for groups of three or more. Please help us recruit more people to join the 4th St Diner Meal program. All contributions are used toward the continued operations of the meal site.

Each month the 4th St Diner has a special day set aside to celebrate birthdays for that month. It is always scheduled for the second Tuesday of each month. Anyone having a birthday for that particular month is encouraged to make a reservation for themselves and any guests they would like to celebrate with. The names of all birthday celebrants who have made a reservation for the Birthday Table are entered into the door prize drawing. We currently have two door prizes scheduled for each month. The first is $5 in Vinton Unlimited Value Dollars generously donated by Vinton Unlimited. The second is a gift certificate for a free 4th Street Diner meal. Reservations for the Birthday Dinner table can be made by calling 472-4761. Reservations need to be made by 10:00 AM on the day of the celebration.

The 4th Street Diner meal on Sunday, January 26th, will be Roast Beef, Mashed Potatoes/Gravy, Broccoli/Cheese Sauce, Mixed Green Salad, Peach Crisp, WW Bread, Milk.

On Monday, December 9th, games of Pepper Cards were played. Merle Roths won 1st place with 276 points. Bill Milne won 2nd place with 269 points. LaVonne Henkle won 3rd place with 250 points. After the games, refreshments were served by Card Club. Beverages were provided by HACAP.

On Wednesday, December 11th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Game one was the Letter “L” with Elsie Knaack winning. Game two was a Baby “x” with Elsie Knaack winning.

Game three was Wild Number with a Baseball and Ruth Wieditz was the winner. Game four was a Crazy “T” with Hazel Eastwood winning. JoAnn Roster won game five with a Blackout.

On Thursday, December 12th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Vickie Holst was the volunteer caller. The games were handpicked by Marion Isbell. Game one was a 9-Pack with JoAnn Roster winning. Game two was Wild Number Three Bingos with JoAnn Roster winning. Game three was Four Postage Stamps with Lorraine Fix winning. Game four was Stairsteps with Lorraine Fix winning. Marion Isbell won game five with Blackout.

On Friday, December 13th, the afternoon activity was a 500 Card Party. Don Selken won 1st place with 2,420 points. Bill Milne won 2nd place with 2,370 points. Third place went to Bud Barr with 2,060 points. After the games, refreshments were served by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.

On Monday, December 16th, the afternoon activity were games of Pepper. After the games, refreshments were served by Card Club. Beverage were provided by HACAP.

On Tuesday, December 17th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Maureen Haisman was the volunteer caller. Game one was a 9-Pack with Lorraine Fix winning. Game two was Stair Steps with George Eckhart as the winner. Game three was a Layer Cake with Lorraine Fix winning. Game four was the Letter “H” with Don Dell winning. Geri Shaffer won with a Blackout on game five.

On Wednesday, December 18th, the Christmas celebration was held. HACAP appreciates all of your support because your participation and contributions are key to keeping this meal site open. The afternoon musical entertainment was provided by Judy Mehlert. Grab bags were handed out to everyone who attended thanks to two anonymous donors.

On Thursday, December 19th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Game one was a 9-Pack with Hazel Eastwood winning. Game two as Three Bingos with Elsie Knaack winning. Game three was a Stair Case with Hazel Eastwood winning. Game four was Frame the Free and Four Corners with George Eckhart as the winner. George Eckhart won game five with a Blackout.

On Friday, December 20th, the afternoon activity were games of 500. After the games, refreshments were provided by the Card Club. HACAP provided the beverages.
