The Iowa Farm Bureau Federation (IFBF) will be offering 54 - $1,000 scholarships and the Benton County Farm Bureau Federation will be offering 4 - $500 scholarships to high school seniors who plan to attend an accredited college for a two or four year degree.
Applications are due into the Benton County Farm Bureau office by Monday March 3rd and winners will be announced in April. The 2014 scholarship application is available on the IFBF website at www.iowafarmbureau.com; or call the Benton County FB office at (319) 472-4710 or e-mail benton.county@ifbf.org to request an application.
Benton County Farm Bureau Scholarship Coordinator, Bill Newton, is encouraging students to apply for this award opportunity. A student’s family must belong to the Farm Bureau organization, and it’s not too late become a member and still apply for the scholarship. Newton says, “As students see the cost of furthering their education continue to rise, we are proud to be able to offer these scholarships and support them in their future endeavors.”
Please contact the Benton County Farm Bureau office, located at 1105 West 9th Street in Vinton, to become a member or to find out more about the organization and Farm Bureau scholarships.
