Business : Vinton businesses invited to participate in 0% holiday loan program

To continue in our efforts to promote shopping in Vinton, we will again offer the 0% Holiday Loan Program. This program allows shoppers to borrow money from a Vinton bank at 0% interest for up to six months to make purchases at Vinton Unlimited businesses. The participating banks include Farmers Savings Bank & Trust and Cedar Valley Bank & Trust.

• The program will run from November 1, 2014 through May 1, 2015.
• The rate of discount to the merchant is 3%.
• Certificates can be accepted no later than December 31, 2014.
• Certificates must be presented to the bank by January 15, 2015 for redemption.
• Vinton Unlimited will pay for all advertising costs associated with the program.
• A list of participating businesses will be included in all advertising.
