Serving Buffet from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM, Sunday thru Friday. Everyone is WELCOME! Suggested contribution for individuals 60 years old or older, and their accompanying spouse (regardless of age) is $3.25 for the meal. Individuals who are not yet 60 are WELCOME but need to pay $4.25 directly to the site manager for their meal. If you are just coming for the activity, the suggested contribution is $1.00. Carryout meals are available.

Hot Home Delivered Meals are available Sunday thru Friday in Vinton. The suggested contribution is $3.75/meal if you are 60 or older. For those under age 60, the required contribution is $4.50/meal. Please call by 10:00 AM daily to cancel or add a Home Delivered Meal.

For more information about services, please call 319-472-4761, or to reserve a table for groups of three or more. We also have nutritious frozen meals and liquid supplements; delivery is available throughout Benton County.

All contributions are used toward the continued operations of the meal site.

Each month the 4th St Diner has a birthday celebration on the second Tuesday. Anyone having a birthday for that particular month is encouraged to make a reservation for themselves and any guests they would like to celebrate with. The names of all birthday celebrants who have made a reservation for the Birthday Table are entered into a drawing for a free 4th Street Diner meal. Reservations for the Birthday Dinner table can be made by calling 472-4761 and needs to be made before 10:00 AM on the day of celebration.

Wednesday, July 1st, the afternoon activity was the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo with Wendy Pennington as the caller. Mae Wilhelmi handpicked the games. Game 1 was “Bow Tie” with Hazel Eastwood winning. Game 2 was a “Nine Pack” which was won by George Eckhart and Jack Oliphant. Game 3 was the “Wild Number with 3 Bingos”, which was won by Hazel Eastwood. Geri Shaffer won game 4 which was “Letter F”. Blackout”, the final game of the day was won by Marion Isbell, Hazel Eastwood, Marcia Relf, and Mae Wilhelmi.

Thursday, July 2nd, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo; Esther Novotny chose the games. Game 1 was “Letter N” with Ruth Wieditz winning. Game 2 was a “Layer Cake” which was won by George Eckhart. Game 3 was the “Flag”, which was won by Joanne Jones. Esther

Novotny and Leroy Wieser won game 4 which was “Frame the Free and Four Corners”. Blackout”, the final game of the day was won by JoAnn Roster.

Monday, July 6th, the afternoon activity was a Pepper Card Party. There were three tables of players. Don Selken (287), Nancy Weise (282), and Keith Weise (272) were the winners of the day. After the games, refreshments were served by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.

Tuesday, July 7th, the afternoon activity was Surprise Bingo with Elder Barron as the caller. Geri Shaffer handpicked the games. Game 1 was “Frame the Free and Four Corners” with Diane Harris winning a Jar of Candy. Game 2 was “Wild # with 3 Bingos” with Ruth Wieditz winning a Game Player. Game 3 was a “Stair Steps” at which Hazel Eastwood won a box of Cereal. Game 4-“Goal Post with Football” which was won by Delane Kalina whose prize was the Free Meal Ticket and game 5-“Blackout” was won by Norma Ellis who won Skin Cream.

Wednesday, July 8th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo with Wendy Pennington as the caller. Lorraine Fix handpicked the games. Game 1 was “Flag” with Oma Eckhart, Viola Calvert, and Diane Harris winning. Game 2 was “Upside Down Stairs” with Oma Eckhart winning. Game 3 was “Frame the Free and Four Corners” which Mae Wilhelmi won. Game 4-“Four Postage Stamps” was won by Mae Wilhelmi and Esther Novotny. Game 5-“Blackout” was won by Lorraine Fix and Viola Calvert.

On Thursday, July 9th the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo with Delane Kalina as the caller, Jack Oliphant chose the games. Game 1 was “Stairs Steps” with Diane Harris winning. Game 2 was a “Nine Pack” which was won by Diane Harris. Game 3 was the “Wild Number with 3 Bingos”, which was won by Jack Oliphant and Marion Isbell. Esther Novotny won game 4 which was “Layer Cake”. Blackout”, the final game of the day was won by Marion Isbell.

Friday, July 10th, the afternoon activity was a 500 Card party. Margaret Fuehrer and Don Selken were the winners of the day. After the games, refreshments were served by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.

Monday, July 13th, the afternoon activity was a Pepper Card Party. There were three tables of players. Merle Roths (267), Irene Geiger (234) and Don Selken (220) were the winners of the day. Refreshments were served by the card club; HACAP provided the beverages.

The July Birthday Party was held on Tuesday, July 14th, we were musically entertained by Barb Riggle and Larry Roster. There were 4 birthday celebrants in attendance: Roger Weltzin, Jessie McCaslin, Geri Shaffer, and Frieda Davis. Roger was the lucky winner of the free meal gift certificate.

Wednesday, July 15th, the morning activity was “Fresh Conversations”. The topic was

“Stay Healthy; Chose Safe Food!”. We sampled Fresh Fruit Frozen Yogurt Pops and practiced a new stretching exercise. The afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo with Vickie Holst as the caller. Game 5-“Blackout” was won by Elsie Knaack and Delane Kalina.

Game 2 was “Letter W” with Marion Isbell winning. Game 3 was “Wild # with 3 Bingos” which Leroy Wieser and Jack Oliphant won. Game 4-“Frame the Free and Four Corners” was won by Leroy Wieser. Game 5-“Blackout” was won by Marcia Relf and Viola Calvert.

Thursday, July 23rd, the site was closed due to RAGBRAI traffic.

Friday, July 24th, the afternoon activity was a 500 Card Party. There were 4 tables of players. Bill Milne (2530) and Don Selken (2510) were the winners of the day. After the games, refreshments were served by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.

Monday, July 27th, the afternoon activity was a Pepper Card Party. There were 3 tables of players. Lois Romman (254), Merle Roths (246), and Leroy Wieser (243) were the winners of the day. After the games, refreshments were served by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.
