Serving Buffet from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM, Monday through 
Friday. A choice of salads is available on the buffet.
 
Everyone is WELCOME! Suggested contribution for 
individuals 60 years old or older, and their spouse 
(regardless of age) is $2.75 for the meal. Individuals 
who are not yet 60 are WELCOME but need to pay $3.75 for 
their meal. Carryout meals are available. Please call us 
to cancel or order a Home Delivered Meal by 10:00 AM 
daily! We deliver meals to Vinton, Newhall, Urbana, and 
Garrison/Mt Auburn. The suggested contribution is 
$3.00/meal if you are 60 or older. We also have 
nutritious frozen meals and liquid supplements. Delivery 
is throughout Benton County. Please call 319-472-4761 for 
more information about services or to reserve a table for 
groups of 3 or more.

The meal on Sunday, September 12th, will be Roast Pork, 
Mashed Potatoes/Gravy, Spinach, Peaches, Custard, WW 
Bread, Milk.
 
On Monday, July 26th, we welcomed the Urbana Card Club as 
our guests. The activity of the day was a Pepper Card 
Party with 4 tables of players. Bill Milne won 1st place 
with 296 points. Lavonne Henkle won 2nd place with 286 
points. Third place went to Frances Kelly with 257 
points. After the games, refreshments were provided by 
the Card Club and HACAP provided the beverages.
 
On Tuesday, July 27th, everyone enjoyed the afternoon 
entertainment provided by the Don Anders Band.
 
On Wednesday, July 28th, the activity of the day was 
10-Cent Bingo. The games were handpicked by June Salerno 
and Luanne Dvorak was the Bingo caller. Game one was a 9 
pack with Corey Dvorak winning. Game two was a plus sign 
with Mae Wilhelmi, Dora Vogt and Faye Goodell winning. 
Game three was a telephone pole with Dora Vogt winning. 
Game four was a layer cake with Marge Goodell winning. 
Mae Wilhelmi won game five with blackout.
 
On Thursday, July 29th, the activity of the day was 
10-Cent Bingo. The games were handpicked by Delane 
Kalina. Vickie Holst was the volunteer caller. Game one 
was a 9-pack with Ruth Wiedtiz winning. Game two was the 
letter “A” with Delane Kalina winning. Game three was a 
stair step with Greta Geiken winning. Game four was a 
baseball with Delane Kalina and JoAnn Roster winning. 
Verda Haether won game five with blackout.
 
On Friday, July 30th, there were 7 tables of 500 played. 
Bernadine Barr and Frances Kelly tied for 1st place with 
3,140 points. Don Burmeister won 2nd place with 2,990 
points. Nellie Cobb won 3rd place with 2,970 points. 
HACAP furnished beverages and other refreshments were 
provided by Greta Geiken and Cletus Friedman and the card 
club.
 
On Monday, August 2nd, the activity of the day was a 
Pepper Card Party with 5 tables of players. Esther 
Novotny won 1st place with 288 points. Milo Cobb won 2nd 
place with 254 points. Third place went to Don Selken 
with 237 points. After the games, refreshments were 
provided by the card club. Beverages were provided by 
HACAP.
 
On Tuesday, August 3rd, the activity of the day was 
Surprise Bingo. Evelyn Greenwood was the volunteer caller 
and Verda Haether handpicked the games. Game one was a 9 
pack with June Salerno winning a bracelet. Game two was a 
flag with Fern Lewis winning and air freshner. Game three 
was a telephone pole with Martha Cohrt winning a meal 
ticket. Game four was a layer cake with Elsie Knaack 
winning a puzzle. Norma Ellis won a puzzle on game five 
with a blackout.
 
On Wednesday, August 4th, the afternoon activity was 
10-Cent Bingo. The games were handpicked by Fern Lewis 
and the volunteer caller was Tracy. Game one was 2 hard 
ways bingo with Marge Goodell and Zella Alpers winning. 
Game two was 3 hard ways bingo with Dora Vogt winning. 
Game three was frame the card with Mae Wilhelmi winning. 
Game four was a 9-pack with Dora Vogt winning. Greta 
Geiken and Mae Wilhelmi won on game five with blackout.
 
On Thursday, August 5th, we appreciated the music provided 
by Madelyn. Madelyn Duncklee provided the afternoon 
entertainment.
 
On Friday, August 6th, there were 5 tables of 500 played. 
Bud Barr won 1st place with 3,970 points. Fern Lewis won 
2nd place with 3,770 points. Milt Smith won 3rd place 
with 3,610 points. Refreshments were provided by the Card 
Club and HACAP furnished beverages.
