Calvin Rickels has joined the FSB staff as Vice President, announced Darlys Hulme, President of Farmers Savings Bank & Trust, Vinton.

Calvin grew up on a farm near Monticello. He earned his bachelor of science degree in Agricultural Business from Iowa State University. He comes to the FSB with over 25 years of experience at the Benton County Farm Service Agency as the County Executive Director. At FSB his role as a loan officer is to originate and underwrite agricultural, commercial and consumer loans. Calvin is a member of the Vinton Lions Club and Oak Grove Church. He is also an assistant football coach at the Vinton-Shellsburg Community School.

"I welcome the opportunity given to my by Darlys Hulme, William C. Talen and the Farmers Savings Bank & Trust Board of Directors to continue serving Benton County's agricultural community and begin serving the greater community in and around Vinton. FSB&T in Vinton, has been my personal bank for the past 23 years and it is through my relationship as a customer of this bank that I have learned to value the great trust and customer service exhibited and provided by the personnel at the bank. I am very excited about joining the FSB&T team," stated Rickels.

Calvin has lived in the Vinton area for 26 years and his wife, Megan, is a Vinton native. They have five children: Dylan, a student at Iowa State; Addy, a student at Luther College; Kelyn, a sophomore at Vinton-Shellsburg High School; Caleb, second grade and Benett, kindergarten at Vinton-Shellsburg Community School.
