Ashlyn Christianson of Three Rivers Insurance in Vinton was selected as part of an elite group of agency customer service representatives to participate in Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Company’s fifth annual Technology Advisory Group (TAG) meeting in April. As a TAG member, Christianson traveled to Grinnell, Iowa, to join 17 other customer service representatives (CSRs) from throughout the Midwest, providing technology and product recommendations to Grinnell Mutual. Since TAG was formed in 2007, the group’s insights have helped Grinnell Mutual further develop its online processing systems, resulting in improved customer service for nearly 1,600 independent insurance agents and their insureds.
“To develop usable technology, we look to the best people to give input — the ones who work with it every day. I see the Technology Advisory Group as one of the most important groups actively involved with Grinnell Mutual. What we’ve accomplished in improved customer service over the past few years is tremendous,” said Grinnell Mutual’s Senior Vice President of Direct Underwriting and Production Larry Jansen.
Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Company, in business since 1909, provides reinsurance for farm mutual insurance companies and property and casualty insurance products for homeowners, farmowners and businessowners through independent agents in 12 Midwestern states. Grinnell Mutual is the largest primary reinsurer of farm mutual companies in North America.
