Diapers.
Over the last 50+ years disposable diapers have become the norm. With the recent explosion at the plant in Japan there are threats of a shortage and fear of disposables rising in costs. For something that runs upward of 25 cents a piece already they sure do add up fast and it could really affect your budget. I have a solution that could save you upwards of 2000 dollars per child! The answer is CLOTH.
It’s a hot new trend because these diapers are not your mama's cloth. The modern cloth diaper comes in many different forms from the old school prefolds and covers (but no pins! Its velcro and snaps now) to all in ones that are exactly like a disposable but you don’t have to throw it away.
I am Vinton's local Diaper Parties consultant and would love to show you all of the different options available. And while money is certainly a HUGE benefit-it is not the only one. You're helping the environment by saving the landfills from waste that takes 500+ years to decompose. Cloth is also a much healthier alternative eliminating the chemicals that are in disposables (including the major ones- acrylic acid (SAP) that exploded at that plant and was banned from use in women's hygiene products for increasing the odds of toxic shock syndrome and Dioxin, an extremely toxic by-product of the paper-bleaching process. Listed by the EPA as the most toxic of all cancer-linked chemicals and it is banned in most countries, but not the U.S)
I am available for one on one consults, or host a party to teach all of your mama friends and family about it! Vanessa@diaperparties.com
