2010 – A Palace Theatre Classic “Remake”

     This week the Vinton Palace Theatre showed “True Grit,” a Coen Brothers remake of the classic 1969 film starring John Wayne.

Picnic Cast Is Announced

  ACT I is pleased to announce the cast for Picnic, to premier March 11 at the Palace Theatre in Vinton. 'True Grit' Coming to the Palace

  The new “True Grit” plays the Palace Friday, January 21 through Thursday, January 27 at 7 p.m. nightly, and Monday, January 24 at 2 p.

Sunday Matinee added for 'Yogi' at Palace

       Due to the high number of advance sales for "Yogi Bear," the Palace has  decided to add in a 2 p.m. matinee, on Sunday, January 16.

In Depth: 'Yogi' coming to Palace this weekend

       Definitely something for everyone at the Palace this week!      Yogi Bear and Boo Boo (voiced by Dan Aykroyd and Justin Timberlake, respectively) barrel in from the woods to steal your pic-a-nic in vibrant RealD 3D!       “Yogi Bear,” based on the cartoon series that originated in 1958 and ran through the 1980s, will play the Palace in our regular movie time slot at 7 p.

Act I Holding Auditions for “Picnic”

  Auditions to be held above Clingman's Pharmacy on January 8th at 2:00 PM and January 9th at 7:00 PM. 'Picnic', written by William Inge (the author of the successful ACT I production 'Bus Stop' staged last May at the Palace Theatre), is a drama, sometimes humorous and occasionally intense.
