School House Rock set to Rock the School this Weekend

The cast of School House Rock perform the musical at the High School this weekend School of Rock opens tonight at 7 pm at the VSHS auditorium. This Andrew Lloyd Webber musical features Ned Schneebly, aka Dewey Finn, played by senior Casey Funk. The story follows the plot of the original Jack Black movie. The slacker Dewey, posing as a teacher,  takes a job at prestigious Horace Green Elementary. Along the way he teaches “musical fusion” to 13 fifth grade students, some tired teachers, several over-protective parents, his best friend the real Ned Schneebly, his uptight girl friend Patty, and “the man,” Rosalie Mullins, the principal, played by senior Sarah Schminke.

'The Last Roundup of the Guacamole Queens' to open Nov. 16

The last time for you to see the Verdeen cousins in action at the Palace is this month, with "The Last Roundup of the Guacamole Queens."  This is the 3rd show in the series started with the "Red Velvet Cake War." Director Doug Martens is excited to bring this last and final saga of the Verdeen Cousins to the Palace Stage.
