“X-Men: Days of Future Past” brings a fan favorite back to the big screen for its seventh go-around.  The third of the X-Men franchise directed by Bryan Singer, “Days of Future Past” is packed with star power, and geared to amaze and entertain.

Playing Friday, June 27 through Thursday, July 3 at 7 pm, and Monday, June 30 at 2 pm, “X7” runs two hours and 15 minutes and is rated PG-13 for sequences of intense sci-fi violence and action, some suggestive material, nudity, and language.

Having never seen an X-Men movie, I’m not qualified to comment.  My go-to for sci fi action adventures (Patrick) hasn’t seen this one yet, either, so I turned to the Internet.  www.rottentomatoes.com gives this film top ratings from both critics (92%) and regular audience members (94%).  That’s huge!

The effects are as incredible as you might expect, and the cast delivers that mix of superhero and tongue in cheek that works so well for a modern audience. ~Aine O’Connor, Irish Independent

... A rollicking good time that's satisfying in its own right and opens up many new sequel possibilities. ~Greg Maki, Star-Democrat

It lives. It breathes. It has a sense of humor. It is very probably the best comic book movie since Singer gave us X2: X-Men United back in 2003. ~Ken Hanke, Mountain Express

If those ratings don’t convince you, this cast list should: Hugh Jackman, James MacAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Michael Fassbender, Halle Berry, Ellen Page.

Over exposure does that to any characters.
