Entertainment : In Depth - “Guardians of the Galaxy”

As reported by the Toronto Sun, Robert Downey Jr’s (Iron Man) take on Marvel’s latest, “Guardians of the Galaxy” ~ Galaxy in some ways is the best Marvel movie ever.  And it’s odd for someone with — on occasion — an ego the size of mine to actually say that!” 

There you have it, folks.  If Tony Stark says it, it must be so! 

“Guardians of the Galaxy” in 3D plays the Palace, Friday, August 29 through Thursday, September 4 at 7 pm, and Monday, September 1 at 2 pm.   

Yes, the Palace is open on Labor Day. 

In theatres August 1, “Guardians of the Galaxy” remains the summer’s top box office seller!  Rotten Tomatoes loves this movie – critics reviewing it at 92% and patrons at 95%. 

With Galaxy, the Marvel Universe expands into the cosmos, where adventurer Peter Quill (played by Chris Pratt) eludes the villainous Ronan with the help of four unusual characters, Rocket, Groot, Gamora, and Drax the Destroyer. 

Yes, Rocket is a gun-toting raccoon voiced by Bradley Cooper. 

“Guardians of the Galaxy” in 3D runs two hours, and is rated PG-13 for action adventure violence and too darn much fun. 

I’ve spoken with Marvel comic expert and Palace employee Tony Bopp, and he has nothing but good things to say about this new addition to the Avengers series.  No, he has not seen the film, but trust me, he’s done the due diligence.  If Tony Bopp is looking forward to a movie, it must be good!
