Midwestern Movie Patrons, here’s a horror film created just for you!
“Into the Storm” rages through the Palace on Friday, September 5 through Thursday, September 11 at 7 pm. Every. Night. And, Monday, September 8, at 2 pm.
I know that several Monday Matinee goers had the pleasure of cowering in the bathrooms and hallways once this summer when tornadoes touched down just outside of Vinton. With “Into the Storm,” we’ll have you hiding in your seats!
In the span of a single day, the town of Silverton is ravaged by an unprecedented onslaught of tornadoes. The entire town is at the mercy of the erratic and deadly cyclones, even as storm trackers predict the worst is yet to come. Most people seek shelter, while others run towards the vortex, testing how far a storm chaser will go for that once-in-a-lifetime shot.
The trailer looks spill-your-popcorn thrilling, in that Mission-Impossible-are-you-kidding-me-they-can’t-expect-me-to-believe-that-just-happened sort of way. But the subject matter will definitely hit home.
“Storm” is only 89 terrifying minutes long, and is rated PG-13. As I said, you’ll probably spill your popcorn, so get a super!
