Come catch Andrew Lloyd Webber's CATS on Friday and Saturday, November 4 and 5 at 7 p.m., and Sunday, November 6 at 2 p.m. at the Vinton-Shellsburg High School Auditorium. Director Marcy Horst, with musical director Gerald Horst, choreographer Erin Horst Pit Band conductor Judy Trygstad, and Joan Cooling Dance Studio are proud to showcase 25 high school kitty sensations, 18 beetles, and 21mice on stage in the longest running Broadway musical ever. CATS is based on T.S. Eliot's collection of poems entitled "Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats."
CATS tells the story of several kinds of cats, including Rum Tum Tugger (Alex Springer), Old Gumby Cat (Maddy Springer), Mr. Mistoffelees (Will Hancock), Old Deuteromony (Matt Walston), Grizabella (Emma Clingman), Skimbleshanks (Willow Huber), Gus the Theatre Cat (Miranda Swallom), Bustopher Jones (Josh Ridley), Mungojerrie (Katie Hancock) and Rumpleteazer (Emma Lippmann), and features the dancing and vocal talents of Bombalurina (Emma Horst), Jellylorum (Tess Noeller), and Victoria (Brinkley Gerber).
